The Great Debate: Should You Ever Sell Bitcoin?

The Great Debate: Should You Ever Sell Bitcoin?

synopsis

The Season 1 finale / year-in-review episode. They announce the Holiday Challenge winner (Nooblessy from France), debate whether Mandana should sell bitcoin when it's high (the core bitcoiner vs. non-bitcoiner tension), review the year's major events (FTX, celsius, self-custody, Michael Saylor, Nostra), and Mandana reveals she's joined Nostra before Ian. A raw, extended argument about selling bitcoin reveals the fundamental philosophical divide that still exists between them after a year.

Ian: "This is oxygen. You can't take the oxygen out of the room."
Mandana: "I'm still new. But I'm on bitcoin twitter now so give me a few months, I might be teaching you a few things."
Ian on selling: "It's not that bitcoin is high. It's that the dollar is less and less."
