The Non-Bitcoiner Partner Speaks
synopsis
On Halloween—the 14th anniversary of the Bitcoin white paper's release—Mandana takes the lead to present "the other side" of being married to a Bitcoiner. She articulates with rare honesty that while she supports Ian's Bitcoin journey, co-signed on the financial decisions, and created this podcast partly to channel his obsession, she is not a Bitcoiner, still gets "Bitcoined out," and wants him to understand that even supportive partners have limits. Ian receives it gracefully while reflecting on Bitcoin's truth-telling culture and the Martin Luther/white paper Halloween parallel.
quotes

Mandana: "I get sick of Bitcoin. I can't help it."
Mandana: "It's not because of Bitcoin. It's because I love my husband."
Ian: "The culture of Bitcoin is truth telling. Fundamentally, that is the culture."
Ian: "I always have something that I think is more interesting than what everyone else is talking about."
Mandana: "Even now, I'm still just flirting with it. The title of the podcast hasn't changed."
Mandana: "If it was football, I would actively be like, what are you doing? This is a waste of your time."
